QR-Coded Certificate of Compliance

NEFA, in collaboration with the Department of Employmnet and Labour and the COC company, has developed a decured portal to store electric fence Certificates of Compliance (C.O.C) in a centralized database. Each C.O.C will feature a unique QR code that verifies the following details:

  • Property Address and Description: Ensure the C.O.C is tied to the correct location.

  • Date of Issue: Track when the C.O.C was issued.

  • Comprehensive Compliance Documentation: Confirms that the electric fence installation adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Good Installation Practices, National Installation Guidelines, and relevant standards (SANS 10222-3, SANS 10222-4 and SANS 60335-2-76).

  • Auditing: A percentage of all C.O.C’s will undergo an audit to maintain the highest standards.

  • Authorized Installers Only: Only registered electric fence installers (EFSI) can issue and sign the C.O.C certificate, ensuring that your installation is verifed by a qualified professional.
